Wood Finishing Technician - Hiring Now! Pay: $24.32/hour Hours:  Monday - Friday 5:00AM - 3:30PM Start Date: ASAP We are seeking a Wood Finishing Technician for a Temp-Hire position with our client, a reputable lumber mill that supplies high-quality Doug Fir dimensional lumber located in Eugene, Oregon. The Wood Finishing Technician will play an essential role in the hands on processing of dimensional lumber.  The ideal candidate will maintain an organized and safe environment while actively contributing to the efficient processing of lumber products. As a Wood Finishing Technician, you will be responsible for:

• Prepare wood and laminated surfaces by cleaning, sanding, and inspecting for defects prior to finishing.
• Mix, match, and prepare stains, sealers, and topcoats to meet specification requirements.
• Operate spray guns, booths, and finishing equipment to apply consistent, high-quality finishes.
• Monitor drying and curing processes to ensure proper finish, sheen, and color consistency.
• Maintain all finishing tools, spray booths, and equipment in clean and safe working order.
• Perform touch-ups, color adjustments, and quality inspections on finished products.
• When finishing production demand is lower, this position will assist the Finish-End Utility team, performing beam grading, inspection, and general finishing-line support. This dual role ensures flexibility, teamwork, and continuous productivity across the finishing department.

The ideal candidate for this role will have

• This is working in a LUMBER MILL
• Carpentry skills a must
• Prior lamination experience VERY helpful
• Prior paint mixing and matching experience is required
