Position: Finishing Tech Pay: $22 - $25 DOE  Hours: Monday-Friday: 7am-3:30pm OR Four 10 hour days 6am-4:30pm Monday-Thursday or Tuesday-Friday Start date: ASAP  A long-standing manufacturer in Redmond is seeking a Finishing Tech. Amazing company, great team, opportunity for longevity and growth.  Duties and Responsibilities for Finishing Tech:
  • At all times safety is a top priority while performing any part of your job.
  • Primary job is to perform necessary tasks to produce the required surface finish on parts and assemblies.
  • Reads job blueprints to determine finish requirements.
  • Set up machines, stack, mark, pack, and transport finished work pieces to next work center.
  • Understand and operate machines at production level with Supervision.
  • Performs minor machine maintenance on machines.
  • Remove burrs, sharp edges and imperfections to attain finish requirement using routers and other hand tools.
  • Always wear grinding shield while grinding - gloves are also recommended.
  • Stay in work area and works well with others.
  • Properly use barcode system to reflect hours charged to job.
  • Contact Supervisor or Weld Lead if there is a problem with job or equipment.
Skills and Qualifications for Finishing Tech:
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Write simple routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before other employees in the organization.
  • Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10s and 100s.
  • Solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
  • Interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, blue print, or schedule form.
  • Must be able to use a tape measure and calipers
