Job Title: Payroll Clerk and Administrative Assistant
  • Temp to Hire
  • Days: Mon-Fri: Part-time (8am-3pm) or Full-time (8am-4:30/5pm)
  • $22/hr

We are seeking a Payroll Clerk and Administrative Assistant for a Temp-Hire position with our client, a well established multi-location retail operation, located in Salem, Oregon. The Payroll Clerk and Administrative Assistant will play an essential role in processing payroll and other administrative duties. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented and be able to multi-task. This is a great opportunity to be a part of a growing company, located in Salem, OR.

  What You'll Do:

As a Payroll Clerk and Administrative Assistant, you will be responsible for:

Payroll Duties

  • Processing bi-weekly payroll for 60-70 employees through Sage
  • Verify time cards and accurately enter data 
  • Input employee deductions for garnishments, child support, benefits, etc
  • Review I9 and W2's to ensure they are accurate
  • Print payroll checks and ensure they are delivered to store locations by Friday(bi-weekly)

Administrative Duties 

  • Cash counts and bank deposits
  • Pick-up/deliver mail at the Post Office
  • Coordinate with store managers to maintain ATM balances for 14 stores
  • Answer the main phone line, take messages, and direct calls
  • Input data into computer, and shred paperwork when necessary  
  • Pull weekly report and transfer data for arcade revenue 
  • Travel to store locations for emergency check drop offs (company vehicle or own vehicle)
  • Assist Accounts Payable department when needed
  • Assist in the warehouse with tagging, labeling, packing orders, and inventory during slower periods in the office. Be able to lift up to 50 lbs.

What You'll Bring:

The ideal candidate for this role will have:
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Experience with payroll systems (Sage, Dayforce, ADP, QuickBooks, etc)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Be very tech savvy!
  • Ability to work with deadlines and time-sensitive tasks 
  • Must be 25+ years old and have a valid DL w/ good driving record for past 3 years to drive a company vehicle. (May also drive personal vehicle if the company vehicle is not available with mileage reimbursement.)
  • Ability to work in an adult only environment 
  • Comfortable occasionally lifting up to 50 lbs
