Job Title: Manufacturing Quality Technician

Pay: $23.50 Hours:  Training Schedule: Monday - Friday  7:00AM - 4:00PM Work Schedule AFTER Training: Monday - Thursday  9:00PM - 7:00AM Start Date: ASAP We are seeking a Manufacturing Quality Technician for a Temp-Hire position with our client, a reputable manufacturer that supplies high-quality aluminum extrusion products located in Coburg, Oregon. The Manufacturing Quality Technician will primarily be responsible for conducting mechanical testing and quality inspections of aluminum extrusion products, utilizing various measurement tools, and maintaining precise documentation of data. The ideal candidate will have at least two years of experience in a manufacturing or production environment and possess strong organizational, technical, and communication skills to ensure product quality and support the Quality Management System. As a Manufacturing Quality Technician, you will be responsible for:

  • Operating tensile testing equipment safely and accurately.
  • Maintaining good understanding and the ability to train measuring techniques to adhere to the tolerances set forth by the Aluminum Standard Association.
  • Conducting quality inspections on aluminum before, during and after all processing is completed.
  • Retrieving and documenting data per our customers’ requirements.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to address quality concerns.
  • Maintaining a clean quality lab and manufacturing area.
  • Promoting the highest quality product, assisting in the leadership and support of the Quality Management System.
  • Other duties as assigned.

The ideal candidate for this role will have:

  • Familiar with measurement tools (micrometers, gauges, etc.)
  • Can demonstrate good organizational skills and technical capabilities.
  • Has good basic math and communication skills.
  • Ability to work with minimal or no supervision.
  • A High School Degree or equivalent is preferred.
  • A minimum of 2-year experiences in a manufacturing/production industry required.
