We are seeking a General Laborer - Floater for a Temp-to-Hire position with our client, a reputable irrigation pipe manufacturing company located in Harrisburg, OR. The General Laborer - Floater will play an essential role in supporting operations by assisting in various departments, ensuring smooth workflow, and maintaining production efficiency. As a General Laborer - Floater, you will be responsible for:
- Assisting in different areas of the manufacturing process, including material handling, machine operation support, and quality control.
- Moving and staging raw materials, finished products, and supplies as needed.
- Performing general housekeeping duties to maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Supporting machine operators by loading/unloading materials and monitoring equipment performance.
- Inspecting products for defects and reporting any issues to supervisors.
- Assisting with basic assembly tasks and ensuring components are properly prepared for further processing.
- Operating hand tools and basic machinery as required (training provided).
- Following all safety guidelines and company protocols to maintain a secure work environment.
- Performing other duties as assigned by supervisors or management.
The ideal candidate for this role will have:
- Previous experience in a manufacturing, production, or warehouse environment (preferred but not required).
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physically demanding tasks for extended periods.
- Willingness to work in different departments and adapt to changing job duties.
- Basic mechanical skills and familiarity with hand tools (a plus).
- A strong work ethic, reliability, and a team-oriented mindset.
- The ability to follow instructions and work independently with minimal supervision.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, industrial environment.
