We are seeking a Shipping Warehouse Worker for a Temp-to-Hire position with our client, a reputable irrigation pipe manufacturing company located in Harrisburg, OR.. The Shipping Warehouse Worker will play an essential role in supporting shipping operations, ensuring productivity, quality, and on-time delivery while maintaining a safe and efficient work environment. As a Shipping Warehouse Worker, you will be responsible for:
- Sanding, grinding, and cleaning parts to prepare them for shipment.
- Ensuring every shipment is filled on time and shipped to the correct location in good condition.
- Maintaining warehouse operational standards and assisting in training new team members.
- Communicating and collaborating with the Shipping Lead and Supervisor to meet departmental goals and deadlines.
- Ensuring shipping paperwork is accurate and addressing any order discrepancies.
- Weighing and moving shipments to designated staging areas.
- Tracking and supplying jobs and orders while maintaining strong internal communication.
- Providing excellent customer service to ensure satisfaction.
- Picking stock from shelves and fulfilling pick lists in a timely manner.
- Packing, sealing, weighing, and labeling shipments securely.
The ideal candidate for this role will have:
- Previous experience in a warehouse, shipping, or manufacturing environment (preferred but not required).
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to maintain organization in a fast-paced setting.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physically demanding tasks for extended periods.
- Basic understanding of shipping documentation and inventory tracking.
- A team-oriented mindset with strong communication skills.
- The ability to follow instructions and work independently with minimal supervision.
