Local leading manufacturer of abrasive blast media, foundry products, roofing materials and specialty aggregates is currently seeking a new Packaging Production Laborer!

Duties and Responsibilities for Packaging Production Laborer

• Operate forklift both for loading trucks, boxcars and moving material in the warehouse.
• Operate the Hamer, Wulftech, and robot for packaging needs
• Start & stop conveyor(s) for product.
• Fill jumbo bags by operating gates and conveyors.
• Operate propane heat gun for shrink-wrap packaging.
• Weekly and monthly inventories or product
• Accurately tally of product bagged and shipped
• Must be able to do repetitive work, i.e. bagging or palatalizing.
• Clean-up, shovel, wheelbarrow, clean out hoppers, and change screens.
• The work requirements are not limited to these primary duties.

Skills and Qualifications for Packaging Production and Equipment Operator

• Able to follow written and/or verbal instructions
• Forklift Experience preferred 
• Must be able to operate a forklift safely
• Effectively communicate with co-workers and supervisors
• Possess ability and understanding of general mathematics at a high school level
• Must be able to do repetitive work, i.e. bagging or palletizing
• Each employee is expected to help other team members when primary duties have been completed.
• Employees may be required to perform other duties or work on special projects when assigned by their supervisor or management representative in the absence of their supervisor.
• Each employee is expected to present a professional demeanor at all times with customers as well as co-workers.

Job Details for Packaging Production and Equipment Operator

• Temp-Hire
• Monday - Friday
•  9pm - 5am - Training is on day shift - paid 30 min lunch
• $17/hr - $22.12/hr w/$.20 shift diff after 90 days!
