A local company that manufactures and distributes lumber is seeking multiple Forklift Operators for their distribution center. $18/hr, multiple openings, great union benefits upon permanent hire!

Duties and Responsibilities for Forklift Operator:

• Safely operate and maintain propane or diesel forklift to move products from stock lines to staging and/or cut stations
• Accurately count units, record totals and document shipping and receiving activities
• Develop in depth knowledge of building material products and warehouse operations
• Other duties during training period - General cleanup, sweeping, using forklift to empty dump buckets, landscaping
• After training period (around 90 days) - could be cutting, pulling, product receiving, or loading

Skills and Qualifications for Forklift Operator:

• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and move or slide up to 100 pounds
• Must be able to operate a chainsaw with a 24” bar
• 2 or more years of experience operating a 9,000 to 17,500-pound forklift
• Knowledge of building materials/construction background is preferred

This is not an inside warehouse position only. This role will perform manual labor 55- 65% of the time. Required Skills Forklift

Job Details for Forklift Operator:

• Temp-Hire
• Shift: Mon-Fri Day shift for roughly 90 days of training 
  • Will be moved to 2nd shift (2pm - 10:30pm) after training
  • Occasional overtime
• $18.00/hr
  • Raise to $20.00/hr when training is complete and hired on permanently (Around 90 days)
  • Opportunity to advance through 3 levels and increase up to $25.50/hr
