MINMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education: High School Diploma or GED
Experience:
- 5 years of Chef experience (with at least 1 year in a hospital, hotel or large kitchen required
- Supervisory Experience
License:
Responsibilities
- Menu Creation and Ordering: Develop and order ingredients for balanced and nutritious patient meals, aligning with dietary requirements and maintaining variety.
- Cleanliness and Food Safety: Ensure strict adherence to food safety and sanitation standards, maintaining a clean and safe kitchen environment.
- Positive Attitude and Collaboration: Maintain a professional and cooperative attitude while working under pressure, providing excellent customer service.
- Direction Taking and Giving: Follow instructions from supervisors and step up to provide guidance to other kitchen staff when needed.
- Conceptualizing and Plating: Contribute to menu creativity and ensure visually appealing meal presentation.
- Hospital Setting Awareness: Understand and meet the unique requirements of working in a hospital kitchen, including dietary restrictions and patient meal plans.
