Required Qualifications
-
High School Diploma or GED
-
Minimum 2 years of professional cook experience
-
Experience working in a healthcare food service setting
-
Current Food Handler’s Card and/or ServSafe Certification
-
Availability to work weekdays and weekends
-
Strong knowledge of basic food preparation and timing
-
Ability to perform physical tasks including standing, walking, bending, pushing, and lifting for most of the shift
Responsibilities
Under the supervision of a Food Service Supervisor and/or Chef, the Cook I will:

Prepare and cook meals following standardized recipes and dietary guidelines
-
Maintain strict food safety and sanitation practices, including HACCP procedures
-
Measure, portion, and monitor food temperatures for quality and safety
-
Organize daily tasks to meet production timelines
-
Receive, store, and rotate food inventory
-
Keep a clean and safe workstation
-
Demonstrate professionalism, teamwork, and excellent service
-
Adapt to fast-paced, changing needs in the kitchen
-
Assist with training and onboarding new team members
