Data Engineer – Cloud & BI

Location: Orlando, FL Schedule: Onsite

IDR is seeking a Data Engineer – Cloud & BI to support data pipeline development and business intelligence integration within a cloud-native environment. This role will focus on building scalable data infrastructure using AWS and Snowflake while enabling reporting and analytics through BI tools like Power BI and Tableau. The ideal candidate is local to Orlando, FL, and brings strong technical depth in both cloud data engineering and BI enablement.

Position Overview / Responsibilities:

• Design and build robust data pipelines leveraging AWS cloud services and Snowflake

• Implement ETL/ELT workflows using Python and SQL to support analytics initiatives

• Manage data integration and orchestration through AWS tools such as S3, MWAA (Managed Airflow), Lambda, and IAM

• Optimize Snowflake performance, schema design, and data loading strategies

• Collaborate with BI teams to deliver reliable, accurate data to dashboards and reports

• Apply best practices in data governance, security, and compliance

• Engage with business users to translate reporting needs into technical solutions

• Document data flows and support knowledge transfer within the engineering team

Required Skills:

• 6+ years of data engineering experience in cloud environments (AWS or Azure)

• Strong hands-on experience with AWS services: S3, Lambda, IAM, and MWAA (Managed Airflow)

• 3+ years of hands-on experience with Snowflake, including design and performance tuning

• Proficient in Python for scripting, automation, and data processing workflows

• Expert-level SQL skills with solid understanding of data warehousing concepts

• Experience using Power BI and/or Tableau for reporting and visualization

• Familiarity with data governance and data privacy standards

• Strong communication skills with ability to explain technical details to stakeholders

Preferred Qualifications:

ServiceNow Developer 

• Ongoing contract (Client maintains right to hire after 3 months though rarely exercises this right)
• Location: 100% remote. First week of work will be onsite at nearest client location, remainder of project will be remote. 

Responsibilities:

• Design, configure, develop, and implement solutions on the ServiceNow platform to meet business requirements.
• Build and maintain workflows, forms, catalog items, and integrations using JavaScript, Glide, and REST/SOAP APIs.
• Configure and extend core ServiceNow modules, with a focus on ITSM, CMDB, Service Catalog, HRSD, HRMS, and CSM.
• Collaborate with business analysts, stakeholders, and other technical teams to translate requirements into scalable ServiceNow solutions.
• Support platform administration, including access controls, security rules, and performance optimization.
• Implement best practices for configuration management, platform upgrades, and quality assurance.
• Contribute to integrations with Medicaid claims systems or other healthcare applications where applicable.

Requirements:

• 7+ years of hands-on ServiceNow development and configuration experience (full lifecycle implementation).
• Strong expertise in core modules such as ITSM, CMDB, Service Catalog, HRSD, HRMS, and CSM.
• Proven experience with scripting (JavaScript, Glide), workflows, and enterprise integrations (REST/SOAP APIs).
• Prior exposure to Medicaid Health Systems.
• ServiceNow certifications (Administrator, Application Developer; HRMS, HRSD or other advanced certifications a plus).
• Strong understanding of ITIL 4 processes and Agile/Scrum delivery methodologies.
• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills.

Preferred:
