DevOps Governance Consultant
Ongoing contract (Client maintains right to hire after 3 months though rarely exercises this right)
Location: Remote
C2C Pay Rate: $60.00
Responsibilities:
Lead the design and development of a standardized code review control suite across all engineering platforms.
Conduct current-state assessments of code review practices, tools, and gaps across product teams.
Develop and document formal control procedures, standards, and enforcement mechanisms that align with enterprise SDLC requirements.
Collaborate with engineers and security stakeholders to define realistic, enforceable controls.
Deliver a complete control package, including documentation, implementation guidance, and evidence generation requirements.
Align control design with enterprise frameworks through coordination with risk, audit, and compliance stakeholders.
Requirements:
Proven experience in SDLC governance, DevOps, or secure software delivery practices.
Strong technical writing skills with the ability to document engineering processes into formal control artifacts.
Experience with Git-based tools (e.g., GitHub, GitLab) and CI/CD pipelines.
Ability to work independently and manage priorities in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment.
Bonus: Familiarity with technology risk, audit processes, or control frameworks (e.g., NIST, COBIT, SOX).
