Position Overview/Responsibilities for the Business Analyst:

  • Support the early stages of Medicaid system modernization and strategy planning

  • Develop and document detailed requirements for a Fiscal Agent RFP

  • Assist in transition planning from legacy systems to new vendor-operated solutions

  • Analyze current operations and identify opportunities to streamline and modernize processes

  • Act as a liaison between state stakeholders, vendors, and operational teams

  • Occasionally travel for stakeholder meetings or workshops (once per quarter or every 4-5 months)

Required Skills for Business Analyst:

  • 5+ years of experience as a Business Analyst or Consultant in Medicaid operations

  • Prior experience developing requirements for a Fiscal Agent RFP

  • Deep understanding of Medicaid operational services (claims, provider management, fiscal operations)

  • Experience working for or with state agencies, consulting firms, or Medicaid vendors

  • Strong familiarity with Medicaid modernization strategies and fiscal agent transitions

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Ability to work independently and collaborate across diverse teams

  • Strong documentation and stakeholder management capabilities

  • Located on East Coast
