IDR is seeking a Quality Engineer to join one of our top clients for a remote opportunity. This role involves ensuring products meet quality standards through various testing and inspection activities, as well as leading quality engineering projects from start to finish. The company operates within the medical device industry, emphasizing high standards for product quality and compliance.
Position Overview for the Quality Engineer:
- Responsible for gathering relevant, factual information and data to solve quality-related problems.
- Resolve issues by identifying and applying solutions from technical experience and guided precedents.
- Plan and lead projects by organizing activities into realistic, time-dependent sequences.
- Work effectively with all departments, developing a team atmosphere.
- Ensure products conform to established requirements and standards through audit, inspection, and test activities.
Requirements for the Quality Engineer:
- B.S. in engineering or an alternative Bachelor’s degree program with certification as a quality engineer (e.g., CQE) plus 3-5 years experience in a Quality Engineering role, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Ability to work within a team environment and build relationships with suppliers, regulatory agencies, and other external partners.
- Facilitates team efforts on quality engineering projects.
- Knowledge of blueprint reading, geometric dimensioning and tolerancing, QSR/ISO regulations, design assurance, FMEA, and product testing methods.
- Proficiency with optical comparators and CMMs.
