Title: Executive Assistant Floater

Terms: 6 Month Contract  Location: 555 California Street, San Francisco, CA 94104 Pay Rate: $40-45/hr. W2 Onsite Requirements: Fully Onsite POSITION OVERVIEW

Responsible for providing back-up support to various teams in the San Francisco office, which will require being familiar with each Assistant's workload to provide appropriate coverage. During back-up coverage, assist executives with a wide range of administrative and executive support-related tasks in a timely manner with high performance and accuracy. Provide afternoon coverage of the Reception desk on a rotational basis and potentially EA support to junior executives. Translate requests and requirements into achievable goals and manage the process through which these objectives are met.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Communication and Information Management

  • Review incoming mail and/or email, prioritize and summarize content, and process replies on own initiative or from Executives’ notes and directives.

  • Compose, draft, proof, edit, and finalize correspondence including email and other documents.

Planning

  • Handle planning logistics for domestic and international travel.

  • Provide detailed itineraries, agendas, directions, and backup materials.

  • Prepare expense reports in a timely manner, ensuring accuracy and submitting in accordance with Firm policy.

  • Manage and monitor Executives’ calendars and anticipate where problems might arise regarding calendars, meeting preparation, executive needs, meeting requests, and telephone calls.

  • Communicate potential and/or confirmed changes to involved parties immediately.

  • Schedule and coordinate meetings and Executive events.

  • Inform attendees of dates and times.

  • Reserve meeting space and ensure appropriate equipment and materials are available.

  • Coordinate hospitality services as needed.

Liaison and Teamwork

  • Liaise with portfolio organizations, investors, guests, and all KKR personnel in a professional and courteous manner while adhering to KKR’s culture and values statements.

  • Act in a discreet and professional manner with others.

  • Demonstrate sensitivity to the confidential nature of the Firm’s business and consistently uphold such confidences, using information only in the course of performing duties for KKR.

  • Act as a team player, including taking on additional tasks to support colleagues and the Firm and offering assistance before being asked.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND ATTRIBUTES

  • Ability to manage highly sensitive and confidential information with complete discretion.

  • Ability to manage a high volume of work while multitasking and prioritizing tasks and projects according to urgency.

  • Excellent written communication and research skills.

  • Extensive experience managing complex and fluid calendars.

  • Excellent organizational skills to support the productivity of the entire team, including filing systems, trackers, and contact management.

  • Critical thinker with excellent judgment.

  • Proactive and able to anticipate Executive needs.

  • Team player capable of working with internal and external stakeholders in a manner that reflects the Firm’s core values and principles, including:

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Four plus years of experience as an Executive Assistant.

  • College degree preferred.

  • Financial industry knowledge highly desirable.

     

    REQUISITION INTAKE NOTES

    Position: Executive Assistant Floater

    Client: KKR Date: 06/01/2026 Location: San Francisco, CA (555 California Street)

    Work Arrangement:

  • 100% onsite, 5 days per week.

  • Permanent floater position until a dedicated Executive Assistant desk becomes available.

  • Parking is not provided by KKR for employees; parking expenses will be covered for interviews.

  • Position Overview:

    The Executive Assistant Floater will provide coverage and support for Executive Assistants across the San Francisco office. This role requires strong traditional Executive Assistant experience and the ability to quickly adapt to different executives and teams.

    Key Responsibilities:

  • Heavy calendar management.

  • Managing and responding to executive emails.

  • Expense reporting.

  • Coordinating extensive domestic and international travel arrangements.

  • Preferred Background:

  • Traditional Executive Assistant experience is required.

  • Consulting or financial services experience is highly preferred.

  • Strong consideration given to candidates from firms such as BCG, McKinsey, Bain & Company, or large professional services organizations.

  • Candidates with mid-career or more extensive Executive Assistant experience have historically been the most successful and are more likely to convert to full-time employment.

  • Although the requirement states 3–5 years of experience, candidates with additional tenure and experience are preferred.

  • College degree preferred; hiring team values candidates who have completed a four-year degree.

  • Onsite interview with a Senior Executive Assistant, Tori, and potentially one additional team member.

  • The hiring team places significant value on dependability, professionalism, and adaptability.

  • Receptionist responsibilities are currently being reduced and are no longer a primary focus of the role.
