IDR is seeking a QA Automation Engineer (Playwright) to join one of our top clients for a remote opportunity. This senior-level QA Automation role is focused on building and scaling automated testing with Playwright across modern software delivery pipelines. You will partner closely with engineering teams in a fast-paced, technology-driven environment to improve quality, reliability, and test coverage throughout the SDLC.
Position Overview for the QA Automation Engineer (Playwright):
Design, develop, and maintain automated test suites using Playwright with a strong emphasis on hands-on automation development
Build and enhance scalable, reliable test automation frameworks and standards aligned to Playwright
Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines (e.g., GitHub Actions or similar) to support continuous quality
Execute and automate functional, regression, integration, API, and end-to-end testing while providing actionable quality metrics
Collaborate cross-functionally to define test strategies, improve application testability, and mentor other QA engineers on best practices
Requirements for the QA Automation Engineer (Playwright):
5–7 years of professional QA or test automation experience, with a senior-level, automation-first background
Strong hands-on experience with Playwright (or a comparable framework) and the willingness/ability to standardize on Playwright
Proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript for authoring and maintaining automated test suites
Experience integrating automation into CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions or similar tooling
Working knowledge of common testing methodologies (functional, regression, API, integration, end-to-end) and tools like Jira for defect tracking/test management
