Workday US Payroll Support – Remote / Enterprise HCM

IDR is seeking an experienced Workday Payroll Consultant to join one of our top enterprise clients in supporting critical HCM initiatives. This role is ideal for a hands-on Workday expert who thrives in fast-paced environments and is passionate about delivering high-quality solutions that improve payroll, time, and absence processes. Position Overview / Responsibilities:

• Configure and support Workday US Payroll with integration to Absence and/or Time Tracking

• Translate client business requirements into scalable system configurations and functional workflows

• Build and present Workday prototype configurations for client review and feedback

• Support the migration of legacy payroll data into Workday

• Assist with testing and validation of Workday integrations with third-party/custom systems

• Apply Workday’s Implementation Methodology across all phases of the project lifecycle

• Serve as a subject matter expert (SME) on multiple projects with minimal oversight

• Provide testing support, troubleshoot issues, and guide clients through UAT and production cutover

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and engagement managers to ensure project alignment

• Support pre-sales efforts through solution demos and level-of-effort (LOE) estimations

• Mentor junior consultants and share Workday product knowledge

• Stay current on Workday feature releases and provide best practice recommendations

Required Skills:

• Mastery of Workday Payroll

• Experience with Workday Absence and/or Time Tracking

• Strong knowledge of payroll configuration, compliance, and business processes

• Proven experience with Workday HCM implementation and production support

• Comfortable working directly with clients in a consultative capacity

• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills

• Experience with legacy data conversion and integration testing

• Familiarity with Agile or iterative delivery environments is a plus
