IDR is seeking a Database Administrator to join one of our top clients for an opportunity in Austin, Texas. This role supports advanced database management within a cloud-focused environment, primarily serving professionals in the technology or healthcare sectors. The organization emphasizes innovative data solutions and cloud migration projects, providing a dynamic environment for growth and impact.
Position Overview for the Database Administrator:
- Perform advanced database administration tasks for applications with complex data models, workflows, and reporting requirements
- Focus on database optimization, migration, and integration with cloud services such as Azure and AWS
- Work within an Agile (Scrum) environment on full-stack Java applications and large enterprise systems
- Develop and maintain technical and functional design documentation for enterprise applications
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure high availability, disaster recovery, and efficient database performance
Requirements for the Database Administrator:
- 10+ years of experience in database administration
- Proficiency with Oracle and Microsoft SQL database systems
- Extensive experience in database design, analysis, and performance tuning
- Background in designing enterprise applications and/or services
- Experience working within software development life cycle using Agile methodology
