IDR is seeking a Security Tester to join one of our top clients for a remote opportunity. In this role, you will perform hands-on application security testing to identify vulnerabilities, validate risk, and help teams strengthen security throughout the SDLC. This is an opportunity to support a large, mission-driven organization in a regulated environment where secure software delivery is a priority.

Position Overview for the Security Tester:

• Perform manual and automated web application security assessments to identify and validate vulnerabilities
• Execute Dynamic Application Security Testing (DAST) and Static Application Security Testing (SAST) using industry-standard tools and methodologies
• Conduct secure code reviews to uncover security gaps and recommend practical remediation steps
• Produce clear, detailed security testing reports including findings, evidence, and risk/impact assessments
• Partner with developers and stakeholders to validate fixes and integrate security best practices into delivery workflows

Requirements for the Security Tester:

• Advanced experience performing Dynamic Application Security Testing (DAST) for web applications
• Advanced experience performing Static Application Security Testing (SAST) and analyzing findings to reduce false positives
• Advanced ability to conduct secure code reviews across modern application frameworks and identify coding vulnerabilities
• Advanced manual penetration testing experience focused on web application security
• Strong written and verbal communication skills to document findings, communicate risk, and drive remediation with engineering teams
