IDR is seeking a Data Engineer/Snowflake Specialist to join one of our top clients for a remote opportunity. This role offers the chance to work within a government or public sector environment focusing on high-uptime data platform management and advanced data engineering.
Position Overview for the Data Engineer/Snowflake Specialist:
Serve as the primary administrator and technical lead for Snowflake environments, ensuring platform stability and security.
Develop and maintain robust ETL/ELT pipelines to ingest data from transactional systems into Snowflake.
Manage platform uptime, vendor escalations, and communication regarding patches and versions.
Collaborate with team members and attend occasional in-person meetings in Denver, Colorado, when required.
Ensure compliance with background checks, including FTI and CJIS security requirements.
Requirements for the Data Engineer/Snowflake Specialist:
Active Snowflake Certification.
Extensive experience managing Snowflake platforms, including being the lead administrator.
Proven background developing ETL/ELT data pipelines into Snowflake environments.
Ability to pass FTI (Federal Tax Information) and CJIS (Criminal Justice Information Services) background checks.
Strong understanding of platform uptime management and vendor escalation processes.
