IDR is seeking a Senior Java Developer to join one of our top clients for an opportunity in Austin, Tx. This role involves overseeing the development and support of large applications within a supportive team environment, focusing on Java and SQL technologies. The organization specializes in public safety and state government solutions, providing a chance to work on impactful projects in the public sector.
Position Overview for the Senior Java Developer:
- Oversee the coding, testing, and debugging of programs based on system’s technical and functional requirements.
- Lead the development of flowcharts, diagrams, and user instructions for production and end-user deployment.
- Conduct research and analysis for project proposals, system modifications, and new initiatives.
- Analyze computer applications, evaluate database schemas, write and run SQL code, and optimize programs.
- Develop standards, procedures, and specialized programs to enhance system performance and support business continuity.
Requirements for the Senior Java Developer:
- 15+ years of Java experience
- 10+ years of SQL database experience
- 8+ years of sustaining and developing large applications in a team environment
- 8+ years of experience with Linux and supporting platform environments
- 2+ years of experience with State of Texas applications, preferably in the Texas Department of Public Safety environment
