IDR is seeking a Snowflake AI Engineer to join one of our top clients for a remote opportunity. This role involves building next-generation AI capabilities within the investment management industry, focusing on designing scalable AI-powered applications and data pipelines to support portfolio management, research, and operational decision-making.
Position Overview for the Snowflake AI Engineer:
- Support the development of AI/ML pipelines and applications, including large language models and retrieval-augmented generation systems to enhance investment strategies.
- Architect and optimize large-scale data pipelines in Snowflake, managing data ingestion, transformation, and modeling of structured and unstructured datasets.
- Partner with data scientists and quantitative analysts to productionize models, ensuring they are scalable, monitored, and production-ready.
- Build and maintain integrations between Snowflake and various AI/ML tools such as Snowpark, Cortex, and vector search technologies.
- Implement best practices in MLOps, including CI/CD for models, version control, and monitoring workflows, while ensuring compliance with data governance standards.
Requirements for the Snowflake AI Engineer:
- Prior professional experience working at an asset manager, investment manager, hedge fund, or closely related buy-side investment firm.
- Working knowledge of investment management concepts and related data, including securities, portfolio holdings, and market data.
- Understanding of regulatory, compliance, and data governance considerations specific to investment management.
- 4+ years of experience in software engineering, data engineering, or ML engineering roles.
- Hands-on production experience with Snowflake, including data modeling, performance tuning, Snowpark, and security/role-based access.
