Position Overview/Responsibilities for the Embedded Software Engineer:
Participate in the definition and design of embedded software for vehicle systems
Assist hardware teams with component selection, schematic reviews, bring-up, and debugging
Develop and integrate bootloaders, device drivers, kernels, and upgrade mechanisms
Contribute to base software (BSP), MCAL, drivers, diagnostics, and debugging tools
Support hardware verification and board bring-up activities
Collaborate with internal teams to gather software requirements, including safety and security
Build and maintain development infrastructure, including automated testing environments
Ensure high-quality, validated software feature delivery
Lead rapid prototyping efforts to explore innovative hardware/software solutions
Required Skills for Embedded Software Engineer:
Linux/Android OS experience, BSP, C programming
RTOS experience, Multithreaded application programming exposure
Linux Kernel experience, BSP
Device driver development experience
Understanding of interaction between application layer, HAL and BSP
Hypervisor understanding, QNX/Gunyah hypervisor experience
QCM/infotainment/connectivity domain experience
Design verification/validation experience
Debugging of issues during Board bring-up activities, Knowledge of handling PCBA, Oscilloscope, debug equipment etc.
Qualification & Experience level:
10+ years of software development experience in an embedded environment
Required - Bachelor's Degree in Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Computer Science, or related field
Desired - Master's Degree in Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Computer Science, or related field
