Job Brief: We are seeking an experienced Production Supervisor to oversee our manufacturing operations. The ideal candidate will ensure the smooth and efficient functioning of production by supervising employees and organizing workflows. Operating in a fast-paced environment, the Production Supervisor plays a pivotal role in maintaining productivity and quality while optimizing costs.

Responsibilities:

• Set daily, weekly, and monthly production objectives and communicate them clearly to employees.
• Organize workflow by assigning responsibilities and preparing schedules to meet production targets.
• Supervise and mentor production staff, providing guidance and support as needed.
• Ensure the safe operation of equipment and schedule regular maintenance to prevent breakdowns and downtime.
• Monitor production output to ensure compliance with quality standards and specifications.
• Prepare and submit reports on production performance and progress to management.
• Identify inefficiencies in production processes and recommend improvements to enhance productivity and cost-effectiveness.
• Train new employees on the safe use of machinery and adherence to standard operating procedures.
• Enforce strict adherence to safety guidelines and company standards to maintain a safe working environment.

Requirements and Skills:

• Proven experience as a Production Supervisor or in a similar role within a manufacturing environment.
• Proficiency in operating various types of manufacturing machinery and tools.
• Advanced skills in MS Office for record-keeping and reporting.
• Strong organizational and leadership abilities to effectively manage production teams.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration and employee management.
• Self-motivated with a results-driven approach to achieving production targets.
• Exceptional problem-solving skills to address operational challenges as they arise.
• High School Diploma required; a degree in a technical, engineering, or relevant field will be advantageous.

• Process payment requests, including check requests, expense reports, Inter Company notes
• payable, and vendor invoices.
•  Review all payment requests for appropriate documentation and approval prior to
• payment. 
•  Code payments for proper distribution and verify payments are in compliance with policy.
•  Match invoices with approved purchase orders and receivers.
•  Prioritize payments based on cash discount potential and payment terms. Ensure that
• discounts are taken when possible.
•  Print checks, match to invoices, obtain proper signature based on current company
• Authority Level Report, and distribute checks (and reports, as requested).
•  Prepare fund transfer requests i.e. ACH and Wire Transfers, match to invoices, and obtain
• proper signature.
•  Files check copies, vendor invoices, and purchase orders in Accounting File room and/or
• area cabinets.
•  Maintain vendor relationships and reconcile accounts.
• Perform cross-check of payments processed by other Accounts Payable staff.
• Audit employee expense reimbursement reports and authorize payments in the Concur system.
• Track hard copy archived files and coordinate with Finance Management to ensure proper
• disposal.
• Maintain business licenses.
• Assign vendor numbers to new vendors and maintain files of same, including W-9, W-8 forms.
• Ensure proper AP Use Tax is accrued or paid accordingly, as required, based on type of
• purchase.
• Sort incoming mail for the Finance department.
• Support various financial, tax, and compliance audits.
• Assist Corporate Controller and AP Manager in administrative activities (photocopying, filing,
• organizing meetings, ordering supplies, etc.) as requested.
• Support other A/P staff as needed

Job Duties 

• Retrieve items from stock based on picking lists or requisitions.
• Pack and prepare merchandise for outgoing shipments, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
• Conduct regular inventory counts to maintain accurate stock levels.
• Collaborate with the inventory control team to reconcile discrepancies and update records accordingly.
• Assist in identifying slow-moving or obsolete items for proper disposition.
• Record all stock movements accurately in the inventory management system.
• Maintain organized documentation related to receipts, shipments, and inventory adjustments.
• Generate and update reports as required by management.
• Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors to ensure a smooth workflow.
• Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines in the stockroom to prevent accidents and injuries.
• Comply with company policies and procedures related to stockroom operations.

• Operates equipment following established procedures.
• Reports equipment issues to supervisors.
• Cleans and assembles equipment and work areas as per guidelines.
• Performs daily tasks to achieve manufacturing goals.
• Tracks metrics, output, and downtime using designated tools.
• Inspects product quality during manufacturing.
• Follows Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) for gowning and hygiene.
• Communicates product quality concerns to supervisors.
• Ensures accurate and timely documentation practices.
• Adheres to safety protocols during equipment setup and cleaning.
• Uses necessary personal protective equipment during work.
• Maintains clean and organized work areas and equipment.
• Completes training tasks on schedule.
• Conducts additional facility cleaning as required.
• Assists in cross-training and supports other departments.
• Follows timekeeping and rest period policies.
• Supports product destruction activities.
• Performs other assigned duties as needed.

• Perform and direct the mold and material changing processes
• Assure that mold set up, changeovers, and housekeeping standards are met
• Ensure new job start-ups run correctly, making any necessary adjustments
• Work with production personnel to ensure molded parts meet requirements, make adjustments as necessary
• Troubleshoot processing problems including normal adjustments and checks
• Ensure molding machines and supporting systems are set to correct parameters and meeting the production goals
• Verify process parameters and implement changes, as appropriate, to improve cycle times
• Inspecting parts to ensure they meet the customer specifications
• Stop production to correct any quality issues
• Review and inspect machines daily for maintenance issues and report to the maintenance department
• Monitor, train, and coach the machine operators to ensure they are following proper procedures
• Follow all clean up and housekeeping procedures
• Comply with all safety, quality and work rules and regulations
• Other duties may be assigned as necessary

• 2-5 years previous injection molding process experience is required
• Proficient skills in reading, writing and arithmetic are necessary
• Strong mechanical abilities & knowledge- preferably in the Plastics Industry, with experience in Injection Molding
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills; very detail-oriented
• Excellent troubleshooting skills
• Excellent computer skills
• Strong communication skills interacting with all levels of a company’s hierarchy

Education and Experience:

• 2-5 years of experience in a similar type position working in the Plastics Industry; injection molding processes
• High School diploma is preferred
• College degree beneficial but not necessary
