Title: CNC Machinist Operator- 3rd Shift- Full Time Hours 

Shift Hours: 9:30 PM to 6:00 AM (or 7:00 AM)

Pay Rate: $25.00 – Or More (based on experience) Start Date: As soon as possible  

Job Summary: Seeking a skilled CNC Machinist to join our manufacturing team on the 3rd Shift in the Buena Park, CA area. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience operating CNC mills, lathes, and drill/tap machines, producing complex aerospace components with precision and efficiency. This role requires a deep understanding of CNC machinery, the ability to perform intricate setups, and a commitment to maintaining the highest quality standards.

 

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate, setup, and troubleshoot CNC mills, CNC lathes, and drill/tap machines as instructed.
•  Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, GD&T, and technical instructions.
• Experienced using precision measuring tools (using micrometers, calipers, height gauges, etc.) 
• Supervise machines while they execute the tasks and make necessary adjustments as needed. 
• Ensure that the product is up to specification and meets company standards.
• Use precision measurement tools (calipers, depth micrometers, height gauges, etc.).
• Accurately record production data (time, quantity, scrap, comments).
• Maintain clean and safe work area, following safety guidelines.
• Assist with direction and coordination of machine shop operators as needed.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• 3–5 years of machine shop experience, including work with Fanuc controls.
• Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
• Strong basic math and inspection skills.
• CNC programming skills preferred.
• Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 25 lbs.
• Consistent and reliable attendance.
• Must be willing to undergo a background check
• Must be ITAR-compliant

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience working with large vertical and horizontal mills or boring mills.
• Skilled in operating legacy and modern CNC controls (Fanuc, Haas, Siemens, etc.).
• Experience in job-shop, industrial service, or heavy equipment repair environments.
• Ability to work from customer specifications, verbal instructions, or reverse-engineered parts.

Responsibilities include setting up, operating, and maintaining CNC milling machines to produce quality parts according to engineering drawings. Job Duties:

• Set up and operate CNC milling machines (vertical and horizontal) to produce precision parts.
• Be open and ready to learn the craft to further develop knowledge.
• Interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and CAD models to determine machining operations, tooling, and setups.
• Select appropriate materials, tools, and machine parameters based on specifications.
• Perform routine maintenance on CNC mills to ensure they are operating at optimal efficiency.
• Troubleshoot machine issues, making adjustments and repairs as necessary to ensure smooth operations.
• Maintain accurate records of machine setups, production times, and any issues or deviations encountered during machining.
• Collaborate with engineers, supervisors, and other team members to report progress and suggest improvements.
• Follow safety guidelines and procedures to ensure a safe work environment for yourself and your team.
• Wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times.
• Ensure machines are properly cleaned and maintained according to safety regulations.
• Strong knowledge of CNC machining processes, including tool selection, machine calibration, and set-up.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and CAD models.
• Proficient in using measuring tools such as micrometers, calipers, height gauges, and other precision instruments.
• Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks efficiently.

Requirements:

• 2 years of experience as a CNC Mill Machinist, with expertise in set-up and operation of CNC mills.
• Experience with programming and operating CNC machines (G-code, M-code knowledge preferred).
• Previous experience in a manufacturing or machining environment is highly desirable.

Education:

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Technical degree or certification in machining, manufacturing, or related field preferred.

Seeking an experienced CMM Programmer with a strong background in aerospace or manufacturing!  Schedule: 1:30 pm - 10:00 pm  Pay Rate: $30.00  - $52.00 /HR.  Location: Buena Park, CA Key Responsibilities:

• Operate and program CMM equipment.
• Complete DIP reports, if required.
• Supports production with inspection of products and all tooling as required.
• Participates in all training provided and continuous improvement activity.
• Works with lead and manager to meet schedules to supports production.
• Performs First Article Inspections.
• Ensures adherence to AS9100.
• Ability to read and understand complex engineering drawings, specifications, procedures and manuals.

The ideal candidate should be experienced with most conventional machines and their functions, demonstrating advanced cross-training flexibility.

Schedule: 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM  Pay Rate: $20.00 - $24.00/hr.  Job Duties:

• Operate multiple machines, including mills and lathes, as part of a work cell
• Perform pre-checks before running machines
• Read blueprints, manuals, and job specs to understand part dimensions and steps
• Set up complex jobs on multiple machines without help (change jaws, tools, etc.)
• Use a sit-down forklift to move parts and load racks
• Use cranes and hoists to load/unload parts onto machines
• Run trial parts to check machine settings and programs
• Set up machines with proper tools, fixtures, and materials
• Adjust settings like speed, feed rate, and cutting depth as needed
• Monitor machine during operation and fix issues or errors
• Inspect finished parts to ensure they meet specifications
• Record time spent on tasks in the BAMC system
• Follow the department’s continuous improvement process daily

• Read and interpret blueprints, manuals, and production instructions to determine dimensions, tolerances, and sequence of operations.
• Perform basic machine setups with guidance.
• Operate machines including (but not limited to): Lathes and Mills (manual and CNC), Shear and Brake Presses, Saws (automated and manual), Swaging, Polishing, Drawing, Straightening, and Heat Treat equipment, Vacuum Furnaces and HON machines
• Assemble and trim tubing or metal components according to dispatch or blueprints.
• Verify accuracy and quality of finished parts using basic measuring tools.
• Package and stage completed products for inspection or shipment.
• Maintain accurate time records of work performed.
• Follow daily production schedules and participate in continuous improvement efforts.

Experience:

• 1–2 years of experience in a machine shop or manufacturing setting (entry-level candidates with mechanical aptitude are welcome to apply).
• Comfortable working with machinery, tools, and industrial equipment.
• Basic knowledge of blueprint reading and measuring tools is a plus.

Education:

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Certifications (Preferred but Not Required):
