If Contract, Length of Assignment: contract for unexpected high volume this time of year, unsure of expected length at this time, but has potential to extend (Please tell candidates at 3-6 months)
Bill Rate: $34 hour
Compensation Notes: $23-24/hour
Shift: Any shift M-F, between 8am-8pm PST (will likely be on 11:30-8:00pm PST shift). Need to be flexible to work rotating weekend shift as needed!
Start Date: will confirm once clear, aiming for 6/29

Location: Remote in PST
Minimum Education/Licensures/Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED
- Registered Pharmacy Technician in state they live in

National Pharm Tech Certification (either through PTCB or NHA) PREFERRED but not required
- 2+ years of pharm tech experience required

1 year of managed care/PBM prior auth experience strongly preferred - will consider other settings though
- Need to be familiar with Medicaid and Medicare, and have worked with prior authorizations before

***NO time off in first 60 days
- Computer skills - strong typing skills, Word, Excel
- Good tenure in past positions, will reject jumpy candidates - looking for at least one role in last 5 years that they have stayed at for 2+ years.
- Ability to work from home - high speed internet, private work space, and smart phone

Types of Candidates to Submit to Sales Rep:

1st Best: Prior Auth/Coverage Determination Pharm Tech from another MCO or PBM

2nd Best: Pharm Tech from retail with strong tenure
About the Job :
-
Doing 33 cases per day or meet 90% productivity or higher per day
- Track and triage all coverage determination requests for prior authorizations and Medicare Part D recipients
- Track and triage coverage determination requests submitted from providers and determine if a pharmacist review is required
- Obtain verbal authorizations and request detailed clinical information from prescribers
- Approve coverage determination requests based on defined criteria
- Enter and document coverage determination request decision into the PBM system and notify providers and/or members
- Respond to client inquiries regarding authorization approvals and PBM on-line applications
- Refer coverage determination requests for specialty drugs to delegated vendor or client for processing
- Contact providers for additional information to facilitate coverage determination reviews
- Notify physicians, providers and members of coverage determination request decisions
