I expected Melanie to continue to help even if I have already submitted an application directly to the company few days before she contacted me. I know your company is a third-party recruiter for other companied but helping others no matter what will go along way in establishing goodwill with job seekers. Melanie provided me with some information about the employer and I appreciate her for that but she should still have forwarded her the notes from our conversation and my resume directly to the hiring manager even if i already applied to the position.
