About Shelby North:

Shelby is the best recruiter I have ever worked with, hands down. She worked diligently to find a placement for me and was very communicative throughout the entire process. The only thing that bothers me (and it's not necessarily Shelby's fault) is that I feel Shelby was mislead on the job description. I was told I would be working with something that is my strongest skill, but upon arrival to the assignment I learned that they chose a restaurant worker with no Healthcare experience over a 25+ year Healthcare vet and over 10 years in that specific role. One would think that the vet would be chosen, especially since the current employee has given maybe a 2 week notice of resignation. The lady with no experience had a total of 3 days to learn a role that I have over 10 years experience in. A role yrthat directly impacts the livelihood of the business. Then on top of that, upon being greated upon initial arrival, I was introduced to a lady from the board of directors, at which point I was told that there's "another lady but she's out of the office and the rest of the members have resigned." Plus the business office tells me first thing that the office is nothing more than a "shitshow" (regular employee stating this). To make matters better, they are not offering services that they are advertising to other medical providers and on their website as well. Then they play favorites with the schedule. Giving one therapist an overload and another therapist maybe 4 appointments to keep her busy for 9 hours. The final issue is that I REQUESTED to be excused from the office while on my lunch break (nearly 4 hours after I clocked in). The reason I requested for excuse was due to a death. When I requested this, I stated that I realized it was unorthodox to be excused for someone's death who isn't related to me. I stated that if there would be any form of issues with me leaving a few hours early, I would gain my composure, dry my tears, and go back to work because I needed my job. I was told "okay, but not sure how .... will take it." (Board member) I stated I understood and considered that to be the end of discussion. As soon as I hung up the call, I received a text from Shelby stating "..... said it is okay for you to leave and return to work tomorrow." I was physically sick at that point and immediately headed straight to the family's home. I get there and less than an hour later I received a call from Shelby stating that I could not return to work and was not allowed on site for any reason ever again. Good thing I'm not capable of producing another hearing impaired child because there is one less company I'd be able to take them to. No reflection on Shelby whatsoever, she's been wonderful. But my advice would be to be a little more empathetic to special circumstances when a death is involved. The person I am grieving over has been like a mother to me for over 30 years. Her daughter is one of my best friends. I had every right to be upset. My friend was talking about suicide and needed help. Her mother is the only family she's ever had. There are no family members in SC. My friend and her mom moved to SC to escape an abusive husband/father. They are very much my family and my family is their family. We have all been affected by this tragic loss. Then to be informed that my services were no longer needed (stating the company has decided to take the position in a different direction)in the middle of helping my best friend cope was rude. I understand Shelby was doing her job and have no issues with that. Regardless of whose doings this was, to tell someone they can be excused for a few hours then terminate their contract because they did what you gave them permission to do is just bad business.

About Shelby North:

The role is a little different than what Shelby described. However, I've worked with a lot of recruiters at diff companies and they never know much about the actual job... Shelby is professional, kind and helpful. I hope to continue working with her when this assignment is over.

Working with Brianne was a great experience! As opposed to other recruiters, her communication was enough to provide me the information I needed but not too frequent to point of overwhelm as I had experienced in the past with previous recruiters
