The Laborer and Carpenter job in Newport, Maine is responsible for assisting with the handling of product, moving in and out of the shop. You will also be required to operate machinery and power tools with safety, while also checking accuracy of carpentry work, while also filling out paperwork as needed. You may also be required to perform production, building and loading supports as needed. This is a full time, temp to hire position.
Laborer and Carpenter Qualifications:

Familiarity with power tools and operating machinery
Ability to to communicate effectively written and verbally
MUST have reliable transportation

We’re looking for a skilled Die Setter to support production on our stamping presses. This role is hands-on and fast-paced, involving equipment setup, material handling, and ensuring consistent quality. You’ll work closely with a team to keep production running smoothly and safely.Responsibilities
Prepare, install, and align dies on large stamping presses
Load and handle coils and other metal materials
Perform quality checks with standard measuring tools (calipers, gauges, micrometers)
Troubleshoot equipment and make adjustments as needed
Maintain safe, clean, and organized work areas
Assist with material movement and other production duties as required
Qualifications
High School Diploma or equivalent
Prior experience in machine operation, metalworking, or die setting preferred
Mechanical aptitude with ability to read technical instructions or drawings
Comfortable with measuring tools and basic shop math
Reliable, safety-focused, and a strong team player
Willing to become forklift certified if not already
