Bonney Staffing has partnered with a local family-owned Seafood Distributor in Scarborough, looking to add to their team! This is a seasonal direct hire opportunity with either PT or FT hours based on business need. 

Driver Responsibilities:

The Driver opening is responsible for transporting raw materials to and from manufacturing plants or retail and distribution centers. Duties include:
  • Routinely inspecting vehicles for mechanical and safety issues.
  • Performing preventative maintenance.
  • Planning routes and meeting delivery schedules.
  • Documenting work/rest periods and miles driven.
  • Inputting "macros" into our automated system for the loading and unloading process.
  • Complying with truck driving rules and regulations, as well as company policies.
  • Maneuvering trucks into loading/unloading positions and verifying delivery instructions.
  • Reporting any defects, accidents, or violations.
  • Assisting with the loading and unloading of trucks.

Driver Qualifications:

  • Valid CDL A AND B licenses required.
  • Must pass a background check, drug screen, and have a clean driver’s medical card.
  • Proven work experience as a truck driver. 
  • Ability to drive long hours and travel regularly.
  • Extensive knowledge of applicable truck driving rules and regulations.
  • No recent moving or driving violations.
  • Adaptability to handle unexpected situations (traffic, weather, etc.).
  • Ability to use a pallet jack.
  • Ability to lift 50-100 lbs.
