The Grounds Person job in Auburn, Maine is responsible for general physical labor within the yard while ensuring that all efforts are compliant with the company Health, Safety, and Environmental standards. Responsibilities will include utilization of hand and power tools, yard clean up, maintenance, and assisting other personnel. You’ll have a solid understanding of machines and tools including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance. This is a heated warehouse, in the winter months, that offers cooling clothes and heat warmers when needed, however, exposure to outdoor weather conditions on a regular basis will be required. Uniforms are provided after 30 days. Safety boots will be required.  This is a full-time, 1st shift position.   Grounds Person Qualifications: 

• High School diploma, GED Certification, or equivalent experience in a similar role preferred.
• Ability to: sit rarely; stand and walk frequently on uneven ground and throughout the yard; lift and carry up to 50 pounds consistently; push and pull occasionally when moving materials; crouch or bend at the knees constantly to move or access materials or equipment
• Ability to read plans, instructions, or specifications to determine work activities.
• Work with equipment operators to facilitate alignment, movement, or adjustment of machinery, equipment, or materials.
• Load, unload, or identify materials, machinery, or tools, and distribute to the appropriate locations, according to specifications.
• Willingness to provide backup or assistance throughout the yard as needed or assigned.
• Ability to pass a background check on a case to case basis with no violent crimes or serious theft. 

Grounds Person Details: 

• Schedule: 6:45am to 4:15pm Monday - Friday
• Pay Rate: 18.50/ hr (44 hour work week, optional OT on Saturdays)

This role offers the chance to work in a non-smoking facility dedicated to maintaining high-quality living spaces in a supportive environment. The Maintenance job in Jay, Maine is responsible for being a versatile and friendly handyman. You’ll have a solid understanding of apartment turnovers; in-unit repairs, a variety of maintenance tasks and painting. All of the facilities are Non-smoking.  This is a full time, temporary position that could become long term.  Maintenance Qualifications:

• Friendly, adaptable, and professional around residents and staff.
• Comfortable working independently and as part of a team.
• Must have reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license.
