Associate Director, Digital Marketing

For our direct client, a highly successful and well-established company at a pivotal moment in its digital evolution—including the launch of major new eCommerce initiatives—we are seeking an experienced digital marketing leader to join their team. This newly created Associate Director role offers significant growth potential and will play a critical role in modernizing the customer journey and driving measurable business impact.

At its core, this role is about end-to-end ownership of the company’s digital experience, with a primary focus on website strategy, performance, and conversion. The ideal candidate will combine strategic vision with hands-on execution to transform the website into a best-in-class, revenue-driving platform.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Own the company’s website as a core digital asset, with full accountability for performance, user experience, conversion rates, and ongoing optimization.
  • Define and lead the website roadmap, including UX enhancements, content strategy, personalization, and feature development in support of business and eCommerce goals.
  • Drive digital conversion and optimization strategy, improving lead quality, funnel performance, and revenue generation.
  • Design and execute A/B and multivariate testing across the website and digital funnels to continuously improve performance.
  • Partner closely with IT and development teams to ensure seamless execution of site enhancements, functionality, and performance improvements.
  • Collaborate with paid media teams to ensure SEM, SEO, display, and social efforts effectively drive high-quality traffic and align with on-site conversion strategies.
  • Translate web analytics and customer behavior data into clear insights, KPIs, and actionable recommendations for senior leadership.
  • Play a central leadership role in the company’s upcoming eCommerce launch, ensuring the website is optimized as a primary sales and engagement channel.
  • Manage and hold accountable external partners, including web development vendors, UX consultants, and media agencies.
  • Lead and develop a small team while remaining deeply hands-on in execution.

Experience and Skills Desired:

  • 7–10+ years of progressive experience in digital marketing within a consumer-facing environment.
  • Demonstrated ownership of website strategy and performance, with strong expertise in CRO, UX optimization, and digital analytics.
  • Proven track record of driving measurable improvements in website conversion and customer journey performance.
  • Experience influencing or partnering on paid media strategy; strong understanding of how acquisition channels integrate with on-site experience.
  • Hands-on experience with Salesforce Marketing Cloud or similar CRM platforms; GA4 required, Tableau a plus.
  • Proven ability to lead complex digital initiatives end-to-end, including direct collaboration with technical teams.
  • Comfortable operating at both strategic and execution levels in a fast-paced environment.
  • Collaborative, pragmatic leadership style with the ability to influence cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Experience in luxury goods, hospitality, travel, or premium consumer brands strongly preferred.

Why This Role:

  • Newly created position with true ownership of the company’s digital and customer experience
  • High-impact, highly visible role shaping the future of digital and eCommerce for a respected luxury brand
  • Opportunity to build and optimize a modern, high-performing website that directly drives revenue and customer engagement
  • Hybrid work model (3 days onsite) and strong benefits; collaborative culture with long-term employee tenure and loyalty

Company HQ is in the Norwalk, CT area, and in-person collaboration (3 days/week) is essential for success in this role. Relocation support will be considered.
