ERP Application Support Developer – PowerHouse 4GL / OpenVMS (Remote – US-Based)

Overview:

Our client is seeking a full-time ERP Application Support Developer to join their team and take on a key role in supporting and maintaining a long-established ERP system built with PowerHouse 4GL on an OpenVMS platform. This is a fully remote position open to candidates based in the U.S.

About the Role:

In this role, you’ll work closely with the client’s existing ERP developer to gain in-depth knowledge of the system. Over time, you’ll assume ownership of its ongoing support, enhancements, and maintenance. This is an ideal opportunity for someone experienced with PowerHouse who enjoys supporting business-critical legacy systems and ensuring their stability and efficiency.  This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working on stable legacy technologies that are critical to day-to-day business operations. You’ll play a key role in maintaining and eventually owning a core ERP platform while enjoying the flexibility of a fully remote position.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support, maintain, and enhance the ERP application built in PowerHouse 4GL.

• Collaborate with the current ERP developer to learn system architecture and business logic.

• Investigate and resolve user-reported issues in a timely and accurate manner.

• Work with business users to gather requirements for minor enhancements or fixes.
• Potentially work with integrating newly acquired businesses onto the platform

• Required Skills and Experience:

    Location:

    Remote – must be located in the United States and work primarily East Coast hours

  • 5+ years of hands-on experience with PowerHouse 4GL, including tools such as:

    • QDesign (screen generator)

    • Quick (interactive screen processor)

    • Quiz (report writer)

    • QTP (batch transaction processor)

    • QDD (Quasar Data Dictionary)

  • Experience working in an OpenVMS environment.

  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.

     

  • Preferred Experience:

    ERP systems in manufacturing, distribution, or finance sectors.

  • Experience with legacy system modernization or migration initiatives.

  • Good communication and documentation skills.

    Immediate interview and hire.  This position can be full time or may also be available as a long-term contract position.
