Astute’s Renewables team is partnering on a retained basis with an established business within the Anaerobic Digestion sector, who are looking to recruit an Assistant/Plant Manager for their AD/Effluent treatment site near Lockerbie, Scotland. The role will play a vital part in supporting the Operations Manager with the day-to-day operations of the Anaerobic Digestion and Effluent Treatment Plant. The position would suit someone with managerial or supervisory experience from a Water/effluent treatment background, who takes a proactive approach to problem solving. The role comes with a salary of up to £50,000 (depending on experience) and excellent benefits package.   • Managing the relationships with external bodies, such as the Environmental Agency

Plant Operator/Technician - Anaerobic Digestion

Astute’s Renewables team are working exclusively with an established Anaerobic Digestion business, who are looking to recruit a Plant/Site Operator for their site near Kettering, working on a 4 on 4 off day shift rotation. The site has recently received investment and is currently undergoing an upgrade which will bring substantial benefits to the existing plant. The Operator will play a vital role in ensuring the day to day running of the renewable energy plant and comes with a salary of up to £35,000, bonus and excellent training and benefits package.     Professional qualifications We are looking for someone with the following:  
  • A relevant Engineer degree is desired but not essential
    Personal skills The Plant/Site Operator role would suit someone who has:  
  • Experience working in Anaerobic Digestion or a similar environment such as Agriculture, water treatment, energy from waste ect
  • Experience operating mobile plant such as a telehandler or loading shovel
  • Experience carrying out first line maintenance on processing plant such as pumps & conveyers would be an advantage
  • Knowledge of SCADA or DCS would be an advantage
  • Hard working and happy to work in an environment that processes food waste for renewable energy.

Due to company growth, they are currently seeking a Project Manager to join their team and support with up and coming projects.                     Roles & Responsibilities As the Project Manager, you will be responsible for:
  • Developing project execution plan during bid phase, including: schedule, support estimate development, executing and contracting strategies
  • Dealing with all stages from design through to commissioning
  • Maximizing project efficiency and profitability
  • Manage to Project Budget, forecast, managing variations and changes
  • Ensuring all health, safety, quality and environmental procedures are integrated into the clients activities
  • Provide a key technical focal point for all engineering and technical clarifications
  • Maintaining all contract administration to ensure clarity on project costs, schedule and quality

      Skills & Qualifications We are looking for someone with the following:
  • A degree in Engineering, or equivalent qualification with proven experience of delivering similar projects

The Site Engineer is a vital role and will play a pivotal part in helping the site to run efficiently and minimise downtime.
