They are recruiting a Senior Quantity Surveyor for its Hinkley Point C project on a full time, permanent basis.

 

The Senior Quantity Surveyor role is pivotal to the site operations and comes with a base salary of £83 – £90,000, overtime, accommodation allowances, travel expenses, and 28 days annual leave + bank holidays.

Responsibilities and duties

  • Lead and manage the commercial function from procurement through to final account.

  • Experience in sectors such as infrastructure, energy, rail, or major civil engineering projects.
  • In-depth knowledge of NEC3 contracts and construction law.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage financial aspects, contract negotiations, and commercial risk.
  • Experienced working in Tier 1 or Tier 2 contractors is highly desirable.

Lead Manufacturing / Site Engineer (site based) Job Title:                                Lead Manufacturing Engineer/Site Engineer Business Unit:                       DPD – Hinkley Point C Project Summary An opportunity has arisen within the business for a Lead Manufacturing Engineer / Lead Site Engineer to join the team on site at Hinkley Point C. The Lead Manufacturing Engineer / Lead Site Engineer will lead a team of engineers and co-ordinate tasks to support the manufacture and installation of complex stainless steel components on site. They will form an integral part of the site team and work closely with the Project, Construction, Planning and Project controls team, as well as the client construction team. Summary of key duties & responsibilities
  • Develop, evaluate and improve manufacturing methododology
  • Support the Project in planning, developing methodology and creating documentation such as RAMS and Visual Task Sheets (VTS)
  • Provide technical input and solutions for any issues that may arise
  • Lead and co-ordinate activities for a team of engineers
  • Evaluate requirement for innovative new equipment, tooling and processes and financially justify through CAPEX and TOOLEX submissions
  • Read and interpret engineering drawings, standards and specifications
  • Carry out root cause analysis and implement corrective actions utilizing lean methodologies
  • Confer with management, engineering and other staff regarding manufacturing capabilities, production schedules, and other considerations to facilitate production processes
  • Specify material requirements, define suitable methods of manufacture and implement necessary tooling and equipment
  • Assist in scoping and progressing compensation events and change control
  • Any other duties or projects as required within the skill set of this position
