Astute’s Contract team is partnering with a Civil Construction company to recruit an Assistant Site Manager on a 6 month contract for its Nottinghamshire site.  The Assistant Site Manager role comes with a day rate of £350-£450 per day (IR35 determination has not been completed yet – TBC) Start Date: Monday 24th August Working Hours: 7:30-4pm Monday – Friday (plenty of opportunity for weekend work if desired) If you complete a successful 6-month contract, these contracts can become permanent positions. Key Skills required for these roles:

• Assisting with the coordination of site activities.
• Carrying out quality inspections and ITP hold point checks.
• Undertaking health and safety spot inspections.
• Assisting with site records and documentation.
• Liaising with site teams and subcontractors.
• Ensuring works are carried out safely and in accordance with project procedures.
• Maintaining accurate records using the SharePoint system.

Minimum qualifications required:  

• NVQ Level 5 in Construction Site Management.
• SMSTS.
• First Aid at Work
• Temporary Works
• Strong civil engineering and highways experience

Interviews are Monday & Tuesday (17th & 18th August).

Astute’s Contract team is working with a UK based Solar Construction business to recruit an Electrical Engineer on a 1-year minimum contract for it’s Leicester & Birmingham sites. The Electrical Engineer position comes with a day rate of £300-£350 per day, Outside IR35 (depending on experience). Key Skills required for the role:

• Have a minimum of 1 year experience working on solar farm projects
• Electrical Engineer degree or equivalent
• CSCS
• SMSTS (desirable)

Additional Information for the role:

• This position will be looking after 2 sites, one in Leicester and one in Birmingham (3 days Leicester, 2 days Birmingham)
• Summer hours are: 7:30-6pm & winter hours are: 8-4:30pm
• Contract will be minimum a year, there is a large project pipeline so could go on for 2+ years
• ASAP start date

Astute's contract team is partnering with a Global Energy Provider to recruit for multiple Electrical Commissioning Engineers on an initial 3 month contract in Teno, Chile.  We are looking for locals only for this project so must be based in Chile.  Key Skills:

• An electrical qualification / degree in engineering 
• Either worked in Battery Storage projects or Inverter commissioning experience 

Expenses will be covered for this and this will be a day rate position. 

Astute's contract team are partnering with an Engineering Construction company to recruit for multiple Rigger Working Chargehand roles on a 1 year contract for Hinkley Point C.  The Rigger Working Chargehand comes with an hourly rate of up to £40 per hour. This role will be CIS / through an umbrella company.  You must of worked on a NAECI site before or have strong heavy industry experience (gas/oil/nuclear).  Working Pattern:  - 10 hour days  - 10 days on, 4 days off (Tuesday-Thursday over a 2 week period) Must have a Diploma in Construction / Lifting / Moving Engineering.  Must have either: LATS, SSSTS, IOSH Managing Safely.  Must have a CCNSG, also known as a safety passport.  ASAP Start. 

Astute’s contract team is partnering with a Global Utilities business to recruit a Senior Quantity Surveyor on a 2+ year contract for its Northwest London site. The Senior Quantity Surveyor comes with a day rate of £400-£500 per day, Outside IR35 (depending on experience). Key skills required for this position:

• Strong experience with NEC4 contracts
• At least 5+ years’ experience in civil quantity surveying

This is an urgent position so candidates with longer notice periods will unfortunately not be considered for this role.  

Astute's contract team is partnering with a renewables / anaerobic digestion company to recruit a Site Engineer on an initial 3 month contract for its Edinburgh site. There is potential for this to be extended.  The Site Engineer role comes with a day rate of £300-£350 per day, Inside IR35.  Key Skills required: 

• Come from a mechanical engineering background 
• Worked within the anaerobic digestion sector or similar 
• Worked on rotating machinery and pumps 
• Have a basic electrical engineering understanding 
• Bonus if you have experience with fabrication

Astute's contract team are exclusively partnering with a Power specialist business to recruit for a Project Manager on a 6-12 month contract for it's West Yorkshire site.  The Project Manager role comes with a day rate of up to £400 per day. This role is looking to be Outside IR35, this is currently being determined.  The Key Skills required for this role: 

• A track record of successfully delivering a project in a standalone position. 
• Experience delivering a telecoms project.
