• Maintain and carry out a proactive maintenance program to maximize asset performance. performance.

• Promptly identify and respond to fault situations.
• Adhere to company health and safety protocols.
• Engage in ongoing training, maintain records, and manage contractors as needed.
• Ensure test equipment is fully functional and calibrated.
• Participate in an on-call rota.

    Professional qualifications: We are looking for someone with the following:

• NVQ Level 3 or equivalent electrical qualification.
• BS7671 wiring regulations to 18th Edition.
• Experience performing O&M responsibilities on commercial or utility scale solar.
• HVAP (desirable).

    Personal skills: The O&M Solar Field Technician role would suit someone who is:

• Flexible to cover multiple sites in your region, with the possibility for overnight stays and participation in an on-call rota.

Lead Manufacturing / Site Engineer (site based) Job Title:                                Lead Manufacturing Engineer/Site Engineer Business Unit:                       DPD – Hinkley Point C Project Summary An opportunity has arisen within the business for a Lead Manufacturing Engineer / Lead Site Engineer to join the team on site at Hinkley Point C. The Lead Manufacturing Engineer / Lead Site Engineer will lead a team of engineers and co-ordinate tasks to support the manufacture and installation of complex stainless steel components on site. They will form an integral part of the site team and work closely with the Project, Construction, Planning and Project controls team, as well as the client construction team. Summary of key duties & responsibilities

• Develop, evaluate and improve manufacturing methododology
• Support the Project in planning, developing methodology and creating documentation such as RAMS and Visual Task Sheets (VTS)
• Provide technical input and solutions for any issues that may arise
• Lead and co-ordinate activities for a team of engineers
• Evaluate requirement for innovative new equipment, tooling and processes and financially justify through CAPEX and TOOLEX submissions
• Read and interpret engineering drawings, standards and specifications
• Carry out root cause analysis and implement corrective actions utilizing lean methodologies
• Confer with management, engineering and other staff regarding manufacturing capabilities, production schedules, and other considerations to facilitate production processes
• Specify material requirements, define suitable methods of manufacture and implement necessary tooling and equipment
• Assist in scoping and progressing compensation events and change control
• Any other duties or projects as required within the skill set of this position
• Red line drawings as and when required
• Work closely with and provide technical input in multi-discipline team meetings

Experience

• Thorough knowledge of stainless-steel fabrication and welding projects
• Competent with managing timescales and budgets
• Experience in a dynamic, fast paced construction environment
• Experience of working in a similar role and leading a team of engineers

Skills & Attributes

Qualifications

• Technical HNC/ONC qualified

• Successful candidates will also be required to undertake the relevant CITB touch screen test.
• HPC BPSS Clearance an advantage, ability to obtain BPSS Clearance essential.
• Typically working a 10 on 4 off Rotation

Key responsibilities:

• Perform electrical and some small mechanical works required to install and commission generators, control panels, fuel systems and associated critical power equipment. 

• Ensure all installations comply with current wiring regulations and codes of practice.

• Read and interpret electrical schematics and specifications.

• Diagnose and resolve electrical and control-system faults during installation, commissioning, and maintenance phases.

• Support site surveys and project delivery.

• Provide basic technical training for customers on critical power equipment.
