Working as a Graduate EC&I Engineer, you will be exposed to a variety of different projects, allowing you to broaden your knowledge and experience across a wide range of Engineering disciplines, to ultimately focus on an area of your choice. They offer an exciting opportunity to develop your skills while receiving excellent support and training from experts in the field.                   Roles & Responsibilities As the Graduate EC&I Engineer you will be responsible for:
  • Participating in a wide range of projects from decommissioning to design and testing new equipment
  • To deliver on project briefs, taking ownership with support and guidance from Senior EC&I Engineers
  • To provide updates on projects according to the development of work, through design and procurement to build and commissioning.

    Skills & Qualifications We are looking for someone with the following:
  • MEng, BEng, HND or DipHE in electrical engineering
  • Experience of AutoCAD
  • Ability to organise and prioritise workload

Quantity Surveyor - Nuclear        

Tadley - Berkshire 12 month contract £45-55.00 per hour (Limited Company) outside IR35

Introduction

We are currently recruiting for a Quantity Surveyor to undertake all pre and post contract quantity surveying services for multiple nuclear projects in Berkshire.

 

Roles & Responsibilities

As the Quantity Surveyor, you will be responsible for:

  • Liaise with the client regarding any commercial discussions.
  • Provide commercial advice to the Project Managers.
  • Advising on a procurement strategy.
  • Preparation and negotiation of all sub-contract contract documentation.
  • Analyse sub-contract tender cost and contract submissions.
  • Managing an early warning process with the client and the sub-contractors.
  • Managing sub-contract monthly payment.
  • Working under NEC4 ECC, TSC and PSC contracts using options A, C &E.

 

 

Skills & Qualifications

We are looking for someone with the following:

  • Previous experience managing the commercial aspects of nuclear projects from pre to post contract.
  • SC clearance needed.

Senior Project Engineer

Role: Project Engineer Headcount: 1 Digital/Non Digital: Non Digital Contracting Authority: NRS/Magnox Contract Length: 24 months Location: Dungeness, Kent – 4 day week. Full time on site. IR35: In Scope Pay Rate to Candidate: PAYE - £38.21/hour, UMB - £51.89/hour Minimum Requirement: To provide fit for purpose engineering solutions for projects or engineering support on more complex projects. To ensure that design authority standards and configuration control are applied appropriately. • Identify project functional requirements and stakeholder needs for assigned project. • Contribute to production of Project Execution Plan including design, safety case and commissioning strategies. • Support project optioneering process. • Develop concept design and fit for purpose engineering solution for projects • Produce and/or approve project technical specifications. • Manage detailed design activities in accordance with design authority standards. • Prepare modification proposals as required, acting as a Nominated Responsible Engineer where appointed. • Carry out technical assessment/approval of contractors work instructions/method statements/risk assessments. • Provide technical supervision of construction/deconstruction activities to ensure compliance with design intent. • Approve as built drawings. • Specify and provide technical supervision of commissioning and/or decommissioning. • Manage hand over to systems/operations ensuring that all drawings, instructions and training have been supplied as required. • Liaise and consult with system engineers and other stakeholders throughout project life cycle to ensure efficient and effective project delivery. • Maintain site configuration control throughout project lifecycle. Skills/Experience: • Experience in a practising disciplined Engineering role (Mechanical, Electrical, EC&I) on industrial plant. • Experience of nuclear and/or conventional project engineering • Understanding of relevant Company and/or national engineering standards. • Experience of working in highly regulated industry – nuclear preferred. • 18-24m of UK based experience. • Able to communicate well with clients, designers & SMEs.
