Responsibilities and duties
Reporting to the Design Lead you will:

Create technical documents like 2D/3D designs, calculations, and bills of materials.

Manage the design process from concept to detailed design.

Ensure all project requirements are met and design reviews are completed.

Work closely with other teams to gather requirements and feedback.

Make sure safety and health regulations are followed in the designs.

Produce high-quality design deliverables (CAD drawings, documents, etc.).

Handle design changes and maintain accurate records.
Professional qualifications
We are looking for someone with the following:

Qualification in Mechanical/Design Engineering (HND or equivalent).

Experience with CAD software (preferably SolidWorks).

Knowledge of manufacturing and fabrication processes.

Understanding of engineering standards, safety, and quality procedures.
Personal skills
The Design Engineer role would suit someone who is:

Familiarity with ISO drafting standards, Eurocode 3, and FMEA/HAZOP.

Experience in the nuclear industry and/or Pressure Equipment Directive.

Strong skills in hand calculations and Excel.
