Introduction

Astute are partnered with a long established, privately owned, independent manufacturer and distributor of cardboard cores and tubes in the UK. Our client is looking for a Machine Operator who has come from a manufacturing environment with excellent health and safety awareness.

 

Roles & Responsibilities

As the Machine Operator, you will be responsible for:

• Loading paper reels
• Following safety procedures and keeping the workplace tidy and free of clutter
• Packaging the finished product
• Accurate data entry into the production data system (SAP)
• Conducting visual quality inspections

 

Skills & Qualifications

We are looking for someone with the following:

• Experience of using slitters, cardboard core manufacturing and cardboard edge machines
• Willingness to learn and develop
• Flexible “can do” attitude
• Great health and safety awareness

 

7am – 5:30pm Monday – Friday (eventually moving to shift work)
