  1. Collaborate with:
Monitoring Team Site Operations Management Apprentice Site Manager HSEQ team 2 Job Summary   Undertaking the environmental monitoring and sampling requirements at the facility as set out by environmental permits.  3 Key Responsibilities  
  • Completion of all monitoring and sampling in accordance with the site’s permits, permissions and associated monitoring action plans
  • Occupational health monitoring in relation to dust, VOC’s, asbestos etc.
  • Calibration of monitoring equipment and the organisation of regular servicing to maintain accuracy of monitoring data
  • Maintenance of environmental monitoring database
  • Compilation of data and summary reporting. Identifying patterns, trends and abnormalities.
  • Completion of monthly reports to line management highlighting issues with monitoring data.
  • Liaising and communicating with others within the group to ensure that the monitoring requirements are completed.
  • To assist with projects as necessary
  • To assist with quarterly returns
  • To assist with other administrational activities which may be required
4 Critical Qualifications  
  • Ideally has a keen interest in a subject such as Geology, Geography, Chemistry or Environmental Science but not essential.
  • Full UK driving license (primarily due to location of site)
5 Critical Knowledge, Skills and Experience  
  • Must be willing to work outside in all weather and have a good grasp of health and safety as the work is undertaken on an active landfill site.
  • Experience of both working within a team and individually.
  • Good organisational and analytical skills.

  • Experience of Office based programs / database software
  • Ideally have experience of sampling and dealing with laboratories. Site investigation experience would be an advantage. 
  • Site/construction based experience would be an advantage.
