Astute’s Power Team is partnered with a major Energy and Waste Management Company to recruit an Maintenance Engineer for a Waste Transfer Station located at Cringle Dock, near Battersea Power Station.
We are looking ideally for someone with a background in multi-skilled maintenance to carry out reactive & preventative maintenance on a variety of plant across the site.
This role is working early and late shifts Monday – Friday with every other Saturday / Sunday required.

Responsibilities and duties:
Reporting to the Maintenance Coordinator, as the Maintenance Engineer you will be responsible for:

Carrying out preventative maintenance in line with company policies and relevant legislation.

Adjusting and installing equipment to improve efficiency and reduce downtime.

Provide breakdown support and technical support.

Assist with the management of the maintenance & stores database.

Support with Risk Assessments, Method Statements & Permit to Work to ensure Safe Systems of Work.
Professional qualifications
We are looking for someone with the following:

Ideally apprentice trained with a relevant Engineering qualification.

At least three years post apprenticeship experience.
Personal skills
The Maintenance Engineer would suit someone who has:

At least three years electrical experience ideally in an industrial setting
-
Familiar with both Mechanical & Electrical industrial plant such as motors, conveyors, compactors, shredders etc

Competent with IT equipment

Able to work heavy plant
