The Shift Operations Technician role comes with a salary of £50,000 - £54,000 + excellent benefits and a clear development path.

Responsibilities and duties
Reporting to the Shift Supervisor you will:

Assist in routine testing of the plant and equipment

Adhere to the H&S process of the plant, reporting any unsafe conditions and hazards to the Shift Supervisor

Assist with training personnel in roles required

Monitor the plant via DCS and its process to ensure that the operation aligns with all relevant operating procedures

Take part in pre-start checks following maintenance work or an outage
Professional qualifications
We are looking for someone with the following:
-
Ideally have a Level 3 (C&G / NVQ) minimum qualification in a relevant engineering discipline

Ideally have a formal Health and Safety qualification such as IOSH or NEBOSH
Personal skills
The Shift Operations Technician role would suit someone who is:

Prior background within a Power Production site, this could be CCGT, Coal, Biomass, Energy from Waste, CHP etc

A solid understanding of health & safety in an engineering environment

Able to demonstrate excellent written & verbal communication skills
