Key skills required for the Fitter role  
  • Recognised mechanical apprenticeship or NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Mechanical Engineering/Fitting.
  • Demonstrable experience in mechanical fitting within highly regulated environments (e.g., nuclear, defence, petrochemical).
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, P&IDs, and specifications.

Junior Project Engineer

Junior Engineer Role Requirement Reporting to : Site based Construction Manager / PM 5 days on site Mon Fri, split between site and office as required Role tasks but not limited to: . Supporting the construction manager to co-ordinate installation of mechanical and electrical systems associated with process plant and equipment, between the construction site face and project office. . Interrogate document control system to identify the required system design detail to assist with planning and reviewing site installation works. . Ability to accurately interpret design drawings and bill of materials against installed and to be installed progress. . Implement material requests via NIS internal procurement team and manage delivery and storage of materials inline with project control processes, CoC's Delivery Notes. . Proactively identify and co-ordinate building services interface connections and raise short falls to construction manager . Commissioning Engineer

Commissioning Engineer Role (minimum requirements)  Clearance Minimum requirements SC Key Knowledge and responsibilities:
  • Assist Construction manager with  Supervision of on-site electrical installation works in line with project design documents and client standards.
  • Reporting to commissioning manager regarding day to day activities
  • Commissioning of PLC control systems, HMI and SCADA systems during initial commissioning (Siemens S7 - TIA).
  • Working to in control panels to fault find or carry out modifications
  • Conducted electrical testing, fault diagnosis, calibration, and instrument setup for plant and equipment. i.e pressure transducers, flow meters, differential pressure, vacuum systems and pneumatics.
  • Experience in leak testing i.e Parjo testing, pressure drop testing
  • Experience in load testing
  • Working with and alongside various other trades during installation and commissioning of new plant and equipment
  • Ensuring all customer and project requirements are met and exceeded during and after project completion.
  • Carried out training of new/existing equipment during and after new/existing plant commissioning.
  • Complete inspection and test documentation (ITPs) for installed systems.
  • Record as-built information and progress on record drawings or relevant documentation.
