Responsibilities and duties of the Renewables Sales Consultant role
ย
Reporting to the Director, you will:
ย

Engage with prospective customers through face-to-face meetings, virtual consultations, and community events to promote renewable energy solutions.

Conduct detailed assessments of client needs and present customised solar, battery, and small commercial energy system proposals.

Carry out surveys of customer homes and sites to determine suitability for renewable installations.

Introduce yourself to neighbours during installations to build local engagement and awareness.

Negotiate prices, address objections, and close contracts while ensuring customer satisfaction.

Provide exceptional customer service and maintain communication throughout the sales process.

Collaborate with technical and design teams to ensure accurate proposals and installation schedules.

Keep detailed records of sales activities, client interactions, and follow-up actions within the CRM.

Ensure all work complies with MCS standards (MIS3002) and other applicable regulations.

Manage your own schedule efficiently to maximise sales and outreach efforts.

Professional qualifications
ย
We are looking for someone with the following:

Proven experience in B2C sales of domestic solar PV and battery storage systems.

Experience with small commercial renewable energy projects (under 50kW).

Strong knowledge of MCS compliance and domestic energy regulations.

Valid driving licence and ability to travel within approximately one hour of Bristol.

Strong IT skills, particularly with Office 365 and ideally CRM software.
