Astute’s Renewables team is partnering with
an influential player in the UK’s BESS market. We’re looking for a Business Operations Manager with a diverse skillset who can assist across a variety of departments within the business. This is a hybrid role and would really suit someone who thrives when juggling a few things but who can focus on excellent operational execution, in assisting with global staffing needs and with policy development and integration.

Responsibilities and duties
Reporting to the Global Operations Manager
you will:

Coordinate global staffing logistics across multiple countries, including the onboarding and offboarding of staff

Be the internal conduit between all staffing requirements with external partners

Monitor standards with international labour standards, with visas and work permits, with any documentation required

Collaborate with legal and HR teams in drafting, reviewing and updating internal policies

Ensure that all company policies and procedures are documented in the document management system and that staff know where to find these

Oversee office operations, including the likes of equipment procurement to vendor contracts and workspace management

Ensure that remote staff have what they need to perform in their role

Look at process optimisation and in cross-functional support, implementing processes for any benefit

Ensure there is unity between countries and in standardising operations across the teams

Other duties as required
Professional qualifications
We are looking for someone with the following:

Higher education in Operations, HR or Business Administration (or something very similar)

At least 4 years experience in staffing operations

Strong knowledge of international employment practices
Personal skills
The Operations Manager role would suit someone who is:

Very organised and detail-orientated

Language skills are useful but not essential

Experienced in working in a global and remote role
