Astute’s Renewables team is very proudly partnered with a huge player in the global renewable energy market to recruit a crucial role for their UK business. The company design, deliver and run renewable assets up and down the country and we’re looking for a Project Manager to join them with a couple of solar projects ready to go for them. This Project Manager role comes with a salary up to £80,000 and with a car/travel allowance too. To achieve the top end of the salary bracket will require all bases covered and we’re looking to pay a relevant salary commensurate to the experience level. Responsibilities and duties of the Project Manager role Reporting to the Regional Manager you will:  
  • Lead on the project management of different renewable energy projects, starting in solar and other projects could be wind and BESS
  • Deliver the projects, taking them from FID through to construction, commissioning and into operations
  • Provide support through different stages of the process, including technical diligence prior to FID
  • Produce detailed project outlines, budgets and timelines
  • Manage the project schedule, reporting on all key milestones to internal and external stakeholders
  • Manage all key relationships within the supply chain and project scope, including the DNO, land owners and local council to name a few
  • Perform risk assessments and proactively mitigate against any risks
  • Ensure that HSE is upheld to the highest order
  • Occasional working and staying away
Professional qualifications   We are looking for someone with the following:  
  • Experience delivering grid scale renewable energy assets
  • A relevant degree, ie mechanical, electrical or energy engineering for example
  • Tendering and contract experience with FIDIC or EPC contracts (ideally)
  • Knowledge of and experience managing CDM
Personal skills   The Project Maager role would suit someone who is:  
  • Dynamic and organised
