We’re looking for a Solar Technician or O&M Technician to join their team to service and maintain their large scale solar assets around the North Yorkshire and the Pennines region.

Responsibilities and duties
Reporting to the Area Manager
you will:

Ensure the best performance of large-scale solar assets

Perform operations and maintenance duties across the portfolio of solar sites in Yeovil and the surrounding areas, perhaps travelling further on occasion for business need

Ensure adherence to all HSE requirements when completing your duties

Test both DC and AC systems, looking for faults and tracing issues

Conduct firmware updates and use computer systems to look for issues with the assets

Gain Authorised Person status after received training

Consistent inspection, maintenance and testing of the systems
-
Looking for trends and using data analysis to see if you can spot any common trends and suggest ways to improve operations as a result

Occasional assistance with tasks such as solar panel cleaning, some ground maintenance and site CCTV

Occasional working way from your patch/area and be flexible to help when the business needs this
Professional qualifications
We are looking for someone with the following:
-
Level 3 in electrical installations as a minimum

18th edition wiring regs
-
Ideally you will have C&G 2391 or equivalent
-
A HSE qualification is desired
-
Experience within a solar or BESS environment is hugely preferred
-
UK driving licence is essential
Personal skills
The Solar Technician role would suit someone who is:

Experienced liaising with third parties and troubleshooting

Experienced reading, writing and assessing RAMS
-
Someone who wants to learn and make a genuine difference

A starting salary up to £40,000 depending on experience
