Responsibilities and duties
Reporting to the Operations Director (Energy Division), you will:
- Oversee the safe and efficient operation of two power plants.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, environmental, and regulatory standards.
- Manage site budgets, financial forecasting, and cost control measures.
- Lead and develop a high-performing operations team.
- Monitor plant performance, ensuring operational efficiency and continuous improvement.
- Maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including local authorities and contractors.
- Implement and optimise maintenance strategies to maximise plant reliability and availability.
Professional qualifications
We are looking for someone with the following:
- A degree in engineering, waste management, or a related discipline.
- Strong technical knowledge of EfW operations and waste management.
- Proven experience in managing EfW or similar industrial facilities.
- Familiarity with SHEQ standards and compliance requirements.
- Financial and budget management experience.
