Responsibilities and duties
Reporting to the Engineering & Maintenance Manager, you will:
- Lead the maintenance team to ensure plant reliability, availability, and asset integrity.
- Manage planned and unplanned maintenance, plant outages, and assigned projects.
- Oversee the Computerised Maintenance Management System (CMMS) to ensure effective asset management.
- Develop and implement maintenance strategies to improve reliability and performance.
- Ensure compliance with safety, regulatory, and ISO management system requirements.
- Monitor equipment performance, diagnosing issues and implementing corrective actions.
- Act as a deputy for the Engineering & Maintenance Manager when required.
- Manage contractor relationships, ensuring service agreements meet operational needs and budgets.
- Provide technical leadership, training, and mentorship to site personnel.
- Participate in the site Duty Manager / Call-Out rota as part of the incident control plan.
Professional qualifications
We are looking for someone with the following:
- HNC (or higher) in a relevant engineering discipline.
- Proven experience in maintenance management within power generation or heavy industry.
- Strong knowledge of planned and reactive maintenance processes.
- Familiarity with CMMS (such as Maximo) and asset management strategies.
- Understanding of legislative, safety, and compliance requirements.
- Experience managing contractors and budgets.
