Responsibilities and duties of the Electrical and Instrumentation Technician role Reporting to the E/I Supervisor, you will:Carry out fault diagnosis and maintenance of electrical and instrumentation assets
Support operations across maintenance, civil, technical, and contractor management functions
Maintain accurate records using a Computerised Maintenance Management System (CMMS)
Write and implement operational procedures and work instructions
Ensure all activities comply with safety and environmental standards
Take on authorised roles under site safety rules
Lead teams in a hands-on capacity during the absence of the team leader
Time-served electrician with an apprenticeship and FETAC Level 6 (or equivalent)
At least 3 years' experience in electrical/control and instrumentation maintenance
Knowledge of HV, MV and LV systems, and E&I control systems
Proficient IT and communication skills with the ability to manage priorities
A proactive team player with the ability to work independently
Comfortable taking the lead and managing external contractors
Able to adapt across operational and technical service areas
Willing to support the station outside of regular working hours when needed
